Will this work for USCIS?
Yes. Certified translations are prepared for USCIS submission and include a signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy. The completed packet is designed to include the English translation and the translator certification language USCIS expects: that the translation is complete and accurate and that the translator is competent to translate from the source language into English.
Is the backside included?
Yes. If the backside belongs to the same record, upload it with the front side so staff can prepare one complete certified packet. The order form also allows up to two related extra pages when they are part of the same official document, such as seals, apostilles, stamps, or continuation pages.
How do I receive the translation?
Digital delivery is included with every order. When the translation is complete, the certified PDF is delivered through your secure account for download and record keeping. If you also need a physical packet, tracked hard-copy mailing options are available at checkout and are charged once per order when multiple documents are checked out together.
Do I need a hard copy or wet signature?
In our experience, digital copies of our Certificate of Translation Accuracy are usually accepted for USCIS and many official uses. If you want a printed packet with a real wet signature, or you simply prefer mailed copies for your records, choose hard-copy delivery during checkout.
What documents can I upload?
You can upload common official records such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, divorce decrees, death certificates, passports, ID pages, police certificates, apostilles, diplomas, transcripts, and immigration records. If your document type or language is not listed, choose Other and add a note with the details before adding the document to your cart.
Can I scan documents with my phone?
Yes. Phone scans are welcome as long as the full page is sharp, flat, readable, and uncropped. Use good lighting, avoid glare or shadows, include all edges and seals, and upload the scan as a PDF, JPEG, or PNG.
Are my documents secure?
Yes. Documents are handled through a secure account workflow using the latest encryption and security practices. Orders are prepared by highly trained staff through an in-house, U.S.-based workflow. We do not outsource your documents to outside agencies or send them out to bid for the lowest price, the way some companies might.

Information we collect

We collect the information needed to create and manage your translation order, including your name, email address, account login details, uploaded documents, order notes, delivery choices, shipping address when hard copies are requested, payment status, and order history.

How we use information

We use your information to process translation orders, prepare certified translations, provide account access, send order confirmations and status updates, deliver completed files, arrange hard-copy mailing when selected, prevent fraud or misuse, and respond to support requests.

Uploaded documents

Uploaded documents are used only to provide the translation service, complete quality review, create certification materials, and support the order if a correction or delivery issue arises. We do not sell customer documents or customer information.

Account and device information

We process account and session information needed to keep you signed in and protect your account. When you choose a camera scan or photo-library upload, the app accesses only the document you select or capture for your order. We do not use uploaded documents for advertising or unrelated profiling.

Service providers

We use trusted service providers to operate the site and process orders. These include Supabase for account, database, and file-storage services; Stripe for payment processing; and Resend for transactional email. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us. Their systems may process information in the United States or other locations where they operate.

Payments

Payments are processed through Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. Stripe may collect and process payment information according to its own privacy and security practices.

Email communications

We send transactional emails such as account messages, order confirmations, payment confirmations, and order status updates. These emails are part of the service and are not marketing newsletters.

Security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect customer information. No online system can be guaranteed perfectly secure. We retain order information and documents for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and support customers.

Your choices

You may contact us to request help with account access, order records, document handling, corrections, or deletion requests. Some information may need to be retained for legitimate business, legal, security, payment, or recordkeeping reasons. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Certified Document Translator provides English document translation and certification services for immigration, legal, academic, and official records. The scope, delivery choice, and price for each document are shown before payment.

Certification and acceptance

Each completed order includes a Certificate of Translation Accuracy. Our certifications are prepared for official filing use, including USCIS submissions, but the receiving agency or organization makes its own final decision about what it will accept. Requirements can vary by agency, matter, and location.

Professional scope

This service provides document translation and certification. It does not provide legal advice, immigration advice, attorney review, or representation before any government agency.

Customer responsibilities

You are responsible for providing clear, complete documents and accurate order details, including the source language, names, dates, and requested delivery information. Do not upload documents you are not authorized to provide. Contact us promptly if you notice an issue before or after delivery.

Delivery and hard copies

Digital delivery through your secure account is included with every completed order. If you select hard-copy delivery, the checkout page displays the applicable charge and mailing details. Tracking information is added to your account when a hard-copy packet is shipped.

Order questions and corrections

If an order requires clarification or a correction, contact orders@cdtranslator.com with the order number. We will review the request and explain the available next step. Please contact us before initiating a payment dispute so we have a fair opportunity to review and resolve the issue.

Cancellations and refunds

Translation work may begin after payment. Cancellation and refund requests are reviewed based on the order status, work already completed, and the reason for the request. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method where possible.

Certified Document Translator is an independent private service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of USCIS or any other government agency. Certified Document Translator is operated by Kerr Media LLC.
